Donations coming in for family struck by tragedy

An online campaign to support a Barry’s Bay family dealing with tragedy has now gathered more than $100,000 in pledges.

It’s to support Lindsay Libby, and her son. A social media post by Lindsay on the weekend, confirmed the body pulled from Bark Lake on Sunday was her husband, Nate.

The OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit was called to the lake on Saturday, to search for a missing fisherman.

The online campaign was launched by Lindsay’s friend, Kassidy Kutchaw. She writes that Nate was a “beloved father and husband.” He was also a “son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend who will be greatly missed.”

Kutchaw also writes that donations will support the family with expenses as they heal.
