If you’re the type who has lots of funny knowledge in your brain, but not always a place to use it, good news: An event in Barry’s Bay next month is for you.

Madawaska Valley Public Library is holding its annual Cabin Fever Trivia Night. It’s a fundraiser for the library and it takes place Friday, April 21 at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre at 7 p.m.

CEO Natalie Barrington explains.

“The last Cabin Fever we did was in March 2020 right before lockdown, so we’re really excited to be back in person,” she says. “Teams sign up and we’ll have about 100 questions, broken down into four rounds with a break in between. It’s just fun, friendly competition.”

“We’ll ask the question and you’ll have a couple minutes to answer it. We have a board member who writes the questions for us. He does local questions, history, music, popular culture. You never know what tidbit of information you have stored away that you’ll be able to use at a trivia night.”

The cost to register a team of six players is $75 and proceeds will help the library fund special programs. To register email [email protected] or call 613-756-2000.
