It’s been a cold winter, but Renfrew County Community Poverty Action Network has some heart-warming news.
It says its Operation Snowsuit program was a success this year. It was able to deliver a snowsuit to all 536 kids who applied for one.
Executive director Lyn Smith says she’s thankful to donors, volunteers and partners who made the drive possible. She says the annual operation saw a drop in donations when COVID first hit but it now seems to be “back on track.”
