If you’re looking to beat the winter blues, Killaloe is the place to be for the next few days.
The Killaloe Lions Club SnoFun Winter Festival runs from Saturday, January 28 to until Sunday, Feb. 5.
The Killaloe outdoor rink is open for public skating from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. each night, from Monday to Thursday, as part of the festival. There’s also hockey and shinny between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. from Monday to Thursday.
Another cool event takes place on Thursday, when the OPP Memorial School Broomball Tournament is held at the rink from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There’s also a bunch of activities on the final day of the festival, Sunday, Feb 5. That includes a pancake breakfast at the Lions Hall in the morning and tobogganing, with free hot dogs and chocolate, behind the Lions Hall, starting at 2 p.m.
