An effort is being put forward to designate some community gardens as available to all Bancroft residents.
This comes as Harvest the North continues to grow, with more garden beds expected to go up today in Riverside Park and at Bancroft’s Municipal Office.
Community Trust Program Coordinator Jane Kali explains the next step is to put some signs up to show which gardens anyone can take from.
Kali says Harvest the North has also approached Bancroft council about building a centralized shed somewhere in town.
Kali is also inviting anyone interested in being part of the community gardens to contact her.
