Mark Willmer is the unofficial winner of the Mayor’s seat for the Township of Madawaska Valley.
Willmer has 1,801 votes counted, compared to 1,194 for challenger Roger Prince. That’s according to an update from the Township, posted at about 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
Willmer is a veteran politician. He was a Madawaska Valley councillor this past term and was also a councillor in Arnprior for several years.
As for the council, Mark Blank, David Shulist, Joseph Olsheski and Shelley Maika were the unofficial winning candidates.
