Soldiers heading to Bancroft area for training

The Garrison Petawawa is starting military training near Bancroft today.

Soldiers will be in the area to practice what to do in case of a natural disaster.

There is not expected to be any use of weapons, ammunition, or any other pyrotechnics during the training, although you may see military vehicles.

The training is expected to wrap-up on Wednesday.

The Garrison Petawawa will also be in the Bon Echo Park area this week, to practice patrol exercises.

That training may involve personal weapons with blank ammunition, although soldiers will work to avoid any contact with the public.

That training is expected to continue until Saturday.
