Ask anybody that’s ever grown up in a small community about one of the most important assets it can have and, the most common answer is the community centre.  Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre has been an important part of the community for decades and is set to share a sneak peak of the new ice surface with a youth fundraising event.  After years of setbacks and lack of grants and available capital, the PJYCC invites youth to join in for a special fundraising event being promoted by the Barry’s Bay and area minor hockey association.

The event takes place on Friday, September 23rd beginning at 6pm in the upstairs lounge of PJYCC.  It is open to youth in grade 4 to 12 and includes a DJ.  Admission is just 5 bucks at the door with all money raised supporting the PJYCC.
