The golf tournament may be full, but you will still have time to bid on items to raise money for local healthcare.

The St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Online Auction will close on Friday, September 2nd at 5 PM. Organizer Rosanne Hoffman says that 87 packages are available for people to bid on. Items include things like a king-size bed, paddleboard, hockey memorabilia, golf packages and stained glass, as well as gift cards, certificates and cash. Hoffman adds there’s something for everyone.

As for the Golf Tournament that accompanies the auction, Executive Director of the Foundation Erin Geinow says that registration is full. 36 teams in total have signed on, including old and new players. The event will include music, catering by the Wolfridge Golf Course, and the auction items themselves.

This year’s goal is to purchase a new defibrillator, which Geinow says is a very critical lifesaving device used to correct an uneven heartbeat in patients. The government doesn’t fund medical equipment, and that is the responsibility of the foundation and community. Defibrillators sell for $23,000 and Geinow says they need two. She hopes they can purchase one with the fundraisers.
