Bonnechere Valley monitoring water supply as demand increases

The summer heat will have an impact on Bonnechere Valley Township’s ability to run water.

The township says it is currently monitoring its potable water supply, as they expect an increase in demand during the summer months. They say this can lead to low water pressure, and in some cases make it difficult to fight fires and put the water system at risk.

As a result, they have decreased flow to the municipal splash pad in an effort to conserve water. They add should the need arise, they will turn off the facility from 3 PM to 5 PM to allow their system to recover. They suggest residents go to Rotary Beach to cool off when the pad is unavailable.
