You can now get rid of your old batteries in Hastings Highlands and Madawaska Valley.

A hazardous waste day will be held at 6 ANAF Road on Saturday, July 16th from 9 AM until 2 PM. The Madawaska Valley day will be held at Yard #2 on Combermere Road from 10 AM until 4 PM, and is also open to residents of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township.

Accepted items include automotive and garage parts, household cleaning products, paint-related materials, pesticides and gardening products. Propane cylinders, pharmaceuticals, nail polish and pool chemicals are also accepted, so long as chemicals are not mixed together.
