Farmers Markets are back in full swing and one of the largest ones in the region has returned.

The Killaloe Farmer’s Market will start back up on Saturday, June 18th from 9 AM until 1 PM. This year the market will happen every Saturday until October 15th at 1 Lion’s Lane in Killaloe.

Organizer Rachelle Clayton says the first market will honour their traditional tye-dye day. It is a nod to Killaloe’s “Back to the Land” history, a movement in the 1970s where city dwellers moved to rural communities to pursue an agricultural lifestyle.

Clayton says those with tents can set up at the market for $15, or $10 with no tent. An extra two dollars will be tacked on for those who need hydro.

The final indoor farmer’s market will happen on Saturday, June 4th at the Killaloe Lion’s Hall from 10 AM until 2 PM.
