The Catholic and public school boards of Renfrew County are partnering up to teach parents and youth about human trafficking.
The school boards are working with Renfrew County Victim Services to hold a Human Trafficking Awareness Workshop. The talk is hosted by Christine Pratt, Director of Anti-Human Trafficking Services at Voice Found & The Hope Found Project. The project aims to create safe communities by educating people, stopping abuse, and supporting survivors.
The course will have people learn about the luring, grooming, and exploitation process of human trafficking. It will also teach people the importance of online safety, healthy relationships, and consent.
The course will take place on May 26th at 7 PM. Follow-up sessions will take place on May 31st for youth, and June 2nd for parents. To register, click here.
