You’ll be seeing police out and about this week.

The Killaloe OPP will be conducting a number of public safety campaigns in their detachment area over the next week. Officers will be checking for unlocked vehicles as part of their Lock It or Lose It campaign. Police will be checking vehicles in public places to make sure they are locked and that valuables are not left in plain view. They urge people to never leave their vehicles running unattended, pocket their keys, and make sure to park in a well-lit area at night.

Ahead of the May 24 weekend, Killaloe OPP will also be out on the roads as part of Canada Road Safety Week. Police will be highly visible until May 23rd looking for impaired, distracted and aggressive drivers, as well as people not wearing seatbelts. Police say to be prepared for an increase in traffic for the Victoria Day long weekend.
