Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke candidates set for June election

The candidates are set for the June 2nd Ontario election in the riding of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke.

All candidates are taking on incumbent PC party member John Yakabuski, who has served as MPP of the riding since 2003.

He has held the portfolios of Minister of Transportation and Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry.

The candidate taking him on from the Ontario Liberals is Renfrew County resident Oliver Jacob. Jacob served as a council member of McNab/Braeside Township.

The Ontario NDP has selected Kurt Stoll as their candidate. The Deep River resident graduated from McMaster University with a degree in nuclear engineering.

The Greens candidate is Anna Dolan. She is a former architect and currently volunteers with immigrant and horticultural groups.

Thomas O’Connor is the candidate for the New Blue Party of Ontario. The Renfrew County resident is a former paramedic and firefighter.

The Ontario Party has selected Kade MacWilliams to run in the riding. MacWilliams is currently a biomedical and electrical engineering student at Carleton University.

Murray Reid has also been listed as a candidate for the Ontario Provincial Confederation of Regions Party.
