Effort continues in Bancroft to bring a Syrian refugee family to Canada

Some Bancroft residents are moving forward with their efforts to bring a Syrian refugee family to Canada.

The group, named Social Justice Without Boarders, has made a decision to work towards sponsoring a family currently in Turkey.

The group is hoping to raise about $60,000 for the project, with half of that money going towards Bancroft’s Community Trust.

The group will not be able to start the actual process of bringing the family over until 2017.
