The new hunting regulations for this year have been released.
The regulations outline when tags are available, when applications for tags close, and when the reporting deadline is for game. It also outlines the various hunting seasons and provides maps of where each wildlife management zone is.
As of now, licences are now available for deer, black bear and small game. Tags are also available for wolves and coyotes, as well as the spring wild turkey hunt. Entry into the draw for elk tags will be available on April 15th. Residents can apply for moose tags until May 2nd, and can be applied for online, in person at a licence issuer or Service Ontario branch, or by calling 1-800-288-1155.
