Renfrew County District School Board to allow field trips, visitors as restrictions ease

A whole bunch of restrictions are being lifted for those attending Renfrew County District School Board schools.

Effective immediately, non-essential visitors are allowed in schools again. However, these visitors must sign in, have self-screened, and must be masked while on school property.

Assemblies, overnight and school day trips, and in-person staff meetings are allowed again. Kindergarteners will no longer be required to wear a face mask, although it will be encouraged. Classrooms will no longer be required to restrict how they have their desks arranged in classrooms.

Come spring, play structures may be used again. However, they will be required to be used by cohort if necessary.

Parents and guardians are asked to check their emails for details about the changes.
