One man in Highlands East is looking for your help to save turtles in the area.

Brian Ensoll is in charge of turtle monitoring from Gooderham to Barry’s Bay, and says there are some easy steps you can take to help save the species.

Ensoll says it’s important to remember personal safety when saving these animals.

Ensoll says the only species you have to be worried about helping is Snapping Turtles, although the rest can be stubborn.

Ensoll says it’s also important to never displace a turtle.
