The Kitchissippi-Ottawa Valley chapter of the Council of Canadians is urging young people across Renfrew County to be artistic this Earth Day.
They have put out a call for submissions for children and youth to create art about what they believe Earth Day is all about. They accept any medium, including painting and sculptures, written, musical, video or any sort of art.
Submissions can be dropped off at the Community Resource Centre in Killaloe. They also accept online links and memory sticks for performance art. Deadline is April 4th.
These works will be shown in an exhibition on Earth Day, where the chapter will ask local politicians to attend. Locations for the exhibit will be announced in March.
Earth Day falls on April 22nd this year.
