Military convoys expected to pass through area

You may see some military trucks moving through the region in the next few days.

Garrison Petawawa has said that a convoy is moving between Barrie and Petawawa. The convoy is expected to pass through Barry’s Bay via Highway 60. They are expected to be on the road on February 11th and 12th.

The convoy is part of NOREX 22, a winter exercise taking place through February. The Canadian Armed Forces say the exercise will demonstrate the 4th Canadian Division’s Arctic Response Group’s ability to operate in harsh weather conditions in remote locations.

Pedestrians and motorists are asked to use caution around these vehicles.
