Public being asked to dispose of prescription drugs

The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP wants the public to get rid of any unused or expired prescription medication.

A number of detachments will be taking part in Prescription Drug Drop Off Day tomorrow, giving people the chance to dispose of any medication.

The OPP says drugs, including opioids, stimulants, and sedatives, are associated with addiction, overdose and death.
