Hastings Highlands looking for public input for next budget
Hastings Highlands Council is hoping to increase public input when creating its 2017 budget.
A notice of motion has been put forward, which would see an Ad-Hoc Committee created to raise public awareness during the 2017 draft budget process.
Councillor Nancy Matheson says this will give residents a chance to voice their opinions.
The motion would see all members of council, some municipal staff, and the North Hastings Fire Chief sit on the committee.
The public would not be allowed to be on the actual committee, they will be allowed to attend meetings and address their concerns.
