You could be getting an automated call today, thanks to the Renfrew County District Health Unit.

The health unit is participating in the province’s push to get people to take their third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Residents can expect a call from an 888 number that will list “ONT GOVT” on their call display.

The message will target those who have not received a booster shot and have had 84 days pass since their last one. The call will play a message from Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kiernan Moore.

For more info about where you can get a shot, the health unit says check out their vaccine rollout webpage or visit their Facebook page for the latest updates.
