Only two councillors are now serving on the township council of Brudenell-Lyndoch-Raglan.

In a council meeting on January 19th, Council voted that two seats held by Councillors Andrea Budarick and Trevor Lidtkie be declared vacant. The move comes after Councilor Budrick’s appeal against removing her from her seat in October was dismissed by an Ottawa Provisional Court. Councillor Lidtkie opted to resign his seat.

Both councillors were recommended to be removed from their roles by the municipality’s integrity commissioner in October last year. No word yet on how the seats will be filled.

Iris Kaudfeldt and John Rutledge remain on council, as well as Mayor Sheldon Keller.
