Algonquin College moving to virtual classes in new year

Due to COVID-19, classes at Algonquin College are moving online when the next semester rolls around.

In a letter from president Claude Brulé, the College says the winter term will begin on January 10th as planned. However, every class possible will be done remotely. On-campus classes will only happen for courses that can’t function without them, with social distancing in place. The college is expecting these changes to be kept in place until March 7th, when they will be reviewed.

The college is also halting in-person non-academic events on campus. Brulé also urges students to pause any off-campus activities as well.

Any student with questions is asked to reach out to their professors.
