Holiday Planter sale rakes in over $3,000 for Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care

A local resident has completely sold out of her holiday planters, and all the proceeds are going to Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care.

The St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation says Jenna Stamplicoski was able to raise $3,024 for Palliative Care, with the planters sold out in just under two hours. Stamplicoski had been making the planters since early November, using plants collected on her family farm. 100 percent of the proceeds went directly to Palliative Care.

The Foundation says that Stamplicoski wanted to give back to the program after discovering the Hospice’s loan cupboard, which allows people to borrow medical equipment when needed. Along with the loan cupboard, the Hospice provides grief programs, volunteer training, caregiver supports and home services.
