Helmet Reminder From Health Unit
A local health unit is encouraging you to wear a helmet if you plan on doing any activities on wheels.
This includes biking, in-line skating, scooter riding and skateboarding.
Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health says head injuries are the most serious type of injury that can come out a fall.
Even a minor head injury can permanently change the way you move, behave, and think.
The health unit says a properly-fitted helmet can decrease the risk of a serious head injury by up to 85 per cent.
