The land at 86 Queen Street in Killaloe will now be known as Pathways Park.

The park will officially open with a ribbon-cutting and smudging ceremony on December 13th. The group running the 18-acre property will invest a $30,000 grant from the gederal government into creating the kilometre-long hiking trail system. The group plans on adding a reading/art walk and a fitness trail. These are expected to be installed in the spring of 2022. Other plans will be revealed on the opening date.

The park was spearheaded by several groups, including the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty Richards, The Community Resource Center, The Killaloe Library, Food Bank, Business Association and the Heritage and Ecological Society, as well as several others.
