The earth moved in the Upper Ottawa Valley due to a 3.3 magnitude earthquake.
Natural Resources Canada confirmed the quake on Saturday afternoon at 5:30 which lasted seven seconds and could be felt as far south as Westmeath.
This isn’t the first ground shaking experience in the area.
Last October the region shook with a 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck just south of Pembroke and in 2013, a 5.2 magnitude quake hit outside of Shawville on the Quebec side.
The worst seen in the Ottawa Valley was back in 1935 when a 6.2 earthquake hit.
