Backpackers able to reserve specific trail campsites in Algonquin Park

Backpackers in Algonquin Park will now have the ability to select specific campsites before they head out.

Campers will now be able to make site-specific reservations on the Eastern Pines, Western Uplands and Highland hiking trails. Park staff say that the next backpacking camping season will start on May 13th of next year.

The changes will come into effect on December 13th, and sites can be booked up to 5 months in advance. The park website will also be updated to show which areas can be selected.
