An event for those coping with loss over the holiday season is being put on by Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care (MVHPC).
The seventh “Help for the Holidays” event is a free group session where participants can hear ideas for coping with the loss of a loved one. The event will take place on Sunday, November 28th from 1:30 until 3:30 PM at the Opeongo Seniors Centre in Barry’s Bay. However, participants must register by November 26th.
Grief Counsellor Dawn Cruchet says the holiday season is a particularly difficult time to cope with the death of a loved one. The event was not held last year due to COVID-19, but has been put on yearly by MVHPC in the past.
Organizers say the event will follow all current health and safety guidelines and refreshments will be provided. To reserve a slot, call 613-756-3045 ext 350.
