Public first aid course coming to Barry’s Bay

If you need first aid training, you won’t need to leave town to get it.

The company 13 First Aid will hold a first aid training course on December 4th. Jackie Stevens, Red Cross Instructor and Owner of 13 First Aid, says only one day is required for the course, as half of it will be done online ahead of time. The course will also offer CPR and automated external defibrillator training.

Stephens says that many people need this type of training for school or work, and often have to go as far as Ottawa to get it. With one of the former instructors offering up space in the area to do the in-person training, this is the first public training they have been able to offer in Barry’s Bay, as they often only train private groups or specific workplaces.

No proof of vaccination is required, but masks are mandatory for the in-person training. To register, call 613-898-8465 or email [email protected]
