The Deputy Chief for the County of Renfrew Paramedic Services has been selected to work as the Paramedic Services Advisor for Defence Research and Development Canada’s Centre for Security Science.
Michel Ruest has over 35 years of experience as a paramedic and will be joining the efforts to ready Canada to deal with and prepare for natural disasters, serious accidents, crime and terrorism.
The two year assignment will allow Ruest to develop links between Canada’s innovation systems to develop tools that address the real needs of today’s paramedics.
Ruest takes over the role from Chief Doug Socha from Hastings County.
