Despite record low listings, real estate sales are booming in Renfrew County.

The district’s Real Estate Board says that the number of new listings saw a nearly 20 percent drop over last year, and was the lowest number seen in the month of September in over a decade. However, at the same time, the month saw the second-highest number of sales since records began.

With these two factors, the average home price has also increased, with the average price jumping over 25 percent from last year to over $410,000. Listings continue to decline in the region, with active listings being at their lowest in 15 years.
