Park staff has been calling it a wonderful year, but now it has come to an end.

Bonnchere Provincial Park has announced that it has closed for the 2021 camping season, effective October 12th. Staff say they are looking forward to seeing everyone back next year.

Bonnechere is one of the few parks in the region that operates camping facilities, with Bell Bay and Foy Provincial Park listed as “Non-operating”. Both are listed as day use only, with no camping or open fires permitted at any time. Opeongo River and Upper Madawaska River Provincial Park are listed as “non-operating” as well.

Algonquin Park is currently offering camping with a permit system. Earlier this month, fall permits for weekend use were sold out.
