The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP is warning of a “game” taking place at several schools across the County.
Police say that participants from the ages of 14 to 19 are taking part in a competition where they pay money to an organizer and perform a series of tasks. Police say these tasks are potentially dangerous and illegal. These tasks have been recorded on video, with police saying that sharing these videos could result in criminal charges. Parents are being led to believe that these activities are a type of fundraiser.
The OPP says it will be watching out for suspicious activities, and urge anyone with information on this to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
