Hastings Highlands implementing winter parking rules starting October 15th

While the first snows may still be weeks away, Hastings Highlands is already preparing for them.

The municipality says they will implement their winter parking rules starting October 15th. The rules state that no one can park on municipal roads or parking lots in a way that will interfere with snow removal. The rule remains in effect from midnight to 7 AM every day until April 15th.

Any vehicle that violates the parking bylaw is subject to a minimum fine of $90. The municipality also warns the vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense.
