The Killaloe Detachment of the OPP wants everyone to enjoy the fall colours safely in Algonquin Park.

The Detachment says that motorists need to be more observant of other drivers, pedestrians and cyclists that are using the area. They urge drivers to eliminate distractions, be aware of their surroundings, look ahead and drive the speed limit.

The Killaloe Detachment says they typically see an increase in traffic during the fall months through Algonquin Park. As a result, drivers should expect to see a police presence along Highway 60.

The news comes as Algonquin Park has set up limits to its booking system in order to deal with increased traffic. For details on the new fall restrictions, click here.
