Health Unit to send automated calls to partially vaccinated residents

If you’ve only received one shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, you will be hearing from the Renfrew County District Health Unit (RCDHU).

The Health Unit will be part of a provincewide initiative to encourage those who are partially vaccinated to get a second shot. These residents will receive an automated call of encouragement Tuesday, August 31st between 5 PM and 7 PM. Those who have call display will get it from the number 888, and will be displayed as “ONT GOVT”.

The RCDHU says those looking for a second dose will need to make an appointment at a pharmacy, through their primary care providers, or a pop-up clinic.
