The Mayor of Madawaska Valley is beaming over the prospect of one day connecting to the new CP trail that has just been purchased by Renfrew County.
Mayor Kim Love says although that is the plan, there is a lot of work to do on the purchased line getting to that point.
She says there is a lot of old rail through Madawaska Valley that could be turned into a similar trail that meets up in the years to come.
When it comes to the current project, it is heartening to see the trail being used already, despite it not being officially opened.
