May is recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Renfrew County.
In honour of that, the Women’s Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County is organizing Wear Purple Day this Friday.
Communications Coordinator Jancy Brown says the colour has a special significance.
She says the whole point of the campaign is to raise awareness around sexual assault and consent.
