The CEO of SteriPro is addressing CUPE concerns over sterilization being contracted out by the Pembroke Regional Hospital.
According to an article by the Daily Observer, Dr. Arun Jain says that the community has a one-sided opinion due to the propaganda by the union.
CUPE has been attacking SteriPro and the PRH since the two signed a contract to outsource sterilization services.
They point to a recently cancelled contract between Trillium Healthcare and SteriPro for quality issues.
Dr. Jain says it is not true, and that his company is the one that started the proceedings to cancel the contract with Trillium.
In fact, Jain says there were several issues with increased compensation for services when things got busy.
Last week CUPE President Michael Hurley told Moose FM that there were several issues with their service including instruments coming back with blood and bone baked on.
