Killaloe OPP has charged a resident of Madawaska Valley after a traffic complaint.

Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Paugh Lake Road on Saturday around 6:15 PM. They say they found the vehicle in Barry’s Bay and arrested the driver. Police have charged a 48-year-old resident of Barry’s Bay with operating a vehicle while impaired, operating a vehicle while prohibited and refusing to undergo a breathalyzer test.

The suspect was released and will appear in court in May. The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and had their vehicle towed and impounded.
