Pregnant women now able to book COVID-19 vaccine appointments
Expectant mothers in Ontario will be able to register for the COVID-19 vaccine beginning Friday.
The Ministry of Health says because of the increased risk of severe illness for pregnant women, individuals will now be able to book appointments under the highest risk conditions in Phase 2 of the vaccine rollout.
You can book an appointment through the provincial booking system or if your Health Unit is using its own system, you can make your appointment through there.
The Ontario Society of OBGYN’s has called on the government to prioritize pregnant women after a sudden spike of expectant mothers in intensive care units requiring ventilators to battle the virus.
