A shelter agreement between Renfrew and Greater Madawaska Valley will see them sharing the Renfrew animal shelter.
A three year agreement between the two has been approved at the last council meeting in the town of Renfrew.
Use of the pound will cost Greater Madawaska $1,500 for 2016, and the cost will increase by two per-cent each year.
Last year the two municipalities reached a trail agreement for six months.
Municipal Law Enforcement Services covers animal control in both areas, which made it a logical step to have the animals in one facility.
