With childcare centres open across the province on Monday, Renfrew County is offering the service to healthcare and frontline workers.

The County says they are working with licenced childcare providers to offer the service for school-aged children whose parents have no other alternative. They are also working with the Health Unit to make sure everything is safe.

Locations in Barry’s Bay, Killaloe and Eganville are among those available for emergency childcare needs. Applications can be found here. Once the application is completed, the County of Renfrew Child Care and Early Years staff will contact families once space is available.

If you are unsure if you qualify for emergency childcare, a list of who’s eligible can be found here.
