With the success of last year’s program, the Count of Renfrew is once again accepting requests for grants for community gardens.
They say that last year the program funded several community gardens that were able to grow fresh produce for their communities. The county is accepting applications from non-profits, charitable or government organizations, and must show they will ensure food security for low-income and vulnerable populations.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 14th. The county says that they will be reviewed on a first-come-first-serve basis, and a submission does not guarantee a grant. Applications are to be mailed to [email protected]
