Renfrew District Residents 70+ Now Able to Book Vaccine Appointments

The Renfrew County District Health Unit is now booking vaccine appointments for those 70 years of age or older.

Anyone who was born in 1951 or later is asked to register online when possible, or call the health unit only if you’re not able to register online. Vaccines appointments are also available for all health care workers, all indigenous residents over 18, essential caregivers, faith-based leaders at risk of exposure, and residents and staff of congrats living places.

Those who are 65 years of age or older can pre-register, but not book an appointment as of yet. The Health Unit says that pre-registering appointments helps them get vaccines out to the public if all the booked appointments have received their vaccination.
