It’s another milestone for the COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout in Renfrew and District.

The District’s Vaccine Communication Committee now reports 14,127 doses administered to date, with 2555 being dolled out last week. While the unit is still looking after those 75 years of age or older, they say the next age group is eligible to pre-register for a vaccine. However, those 70-74 years of age are currently unable to book an appointment at this time.

In other COVID news in Renfrew County, a daycare and a catholic elementary school in Pembroke have declared cases. A student from Cathedral Catholic Elementary School and an individual from Wise Owl Daycare both have been confirmed positive cases.
